SPECIFIC SCENARIOS (AU):

Opposing mafia groups/gangs. Gaius and his partner members of rival mafia/yakuza/gangs. Rivals, enemies - but they're inexplicably attracted to one another and keep hooking up in secret. Maybe they eventually are both ordered to kill the other so the sex involves a lot of switching between having killing intent and trying to get their lover off.
Class/social gap. Gaius as a rich businessman or noble and his lover a normal person (college student, maybe, or just an average businessman). Maybe it starts off with his lover not knowing he's rich and taking him in, thinking he's homeless or something, and then ends up showered with expensive gifts and a sugar daddy. Maybe Gaius is his lover's boss or a prince in disguise - the main idea is that he'd do silly things like send 100 crates of oranges to his lover's apartment if he found out they enjoyed oranges.
Class/social gap. Forbidden relationship between a king and a commoner. Maybe a king and a sex worker? Same idea as the prompt above, but more drama. Romeo and Juliet type thing? Or maybe something Phantom of the Opera-esque.
Warden and prisoner. Gaius as a warden and having hatesex with his prisoner (could be a prisoner of war and a king, that's hot), with lots of marking and biting and weird attraction/hate. Or Gaius as the prisoner and his lover is the king of another kingdom or ruler of another tribe or warden - struggles for dominance, fighting, bondage, blood, etc.
Sex work. Professional dom, buying a new sex worker, buying someone who isn't a sex worker and using them as such, pimp, etc.
Adultery. Gaius married to someone he doesn't love and cheating on them with his lover - maybe a breakup scene where he knows it's wrong to keep doing it, and his lover convinces him that they belong together and that they can't live without each other. Alternatively, Gaius as the other man, and he's insistent on his lover breaking up with their husband/wife.
School scenes/Hospital scenes. The uptight, responsible class representative or TA disciplining a delinquent into line. Teacher/student is awesome, too. Can be a thing between doctors or medical professionals as well! I guess you could call this occupation-play? Sex in workplaces.
Wish you were them. Gaius and his partner in love with other people, but having sex with each other because they can't be with the one they want. Maybe it evolves into some sort of relationship and eventually they realize that they're totally into each other - maybe they don't mention it for a while because they don't want to complicate the relationship/think that the other person is still in love with the person they can't have.
Instant hookups. Good old instant hookups at clubs or bars or whatever. They have too much to drink and have a messy drunken hookup, wake up and it's super awkward, someone leaves with the wrong pants, whatever!
